Epwin Window Systems joins Council for Aluminium in Building

20 August 2019

Epwin Window Systems, the UK’s most successful systems supplier, has just joined the Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB), the largest UK aluminium in building trade association.

Gerald Allen, Epwin Window Systems’ Marketing Manager, said: “We take our responsibilities towards the sectors we work in very seriously. With the launch of Stellar, our ground breaking new aluminium window and door system, it was important to us to join the biggest trade association for the material.”

CAB’s mission is to promote the use of aluminium in building by being the recognised voice of the sector. Its members include consultants, fabricators, installers, systems companies and many specialist product supply and manufacturing companies. It provides high quality technical information and guidance on regulations, standards and best practice and is proactive in a number of aluminium and sustainability initiatives in the UK and internationally.

Epwin Window Systems launched Stellar at the FIT Show earlier this year. It is a full aluminium window and door system designed for the retail and light commercial sectors that offers outstanding aesthetics and best-in-class fabrication and installation advantages.

Stellar has been designed to provide solutions to the typical problems fabricators face, enabling better efficiency. Stellar is up to 20% quicker to fabricate, uses less materials and reduces stockholding. It also quicker to install thanks to features such as a pre-gasketed knock-in bead, which means no wedge gaskets are needed, making it much quicker to glaze.

Epwin Window Systems has been an important part of the PVC-U sector for over 40 years. With the launch of Stellar and the membership of the Council for Aluminium in Building, it is taking a similar part in the aluminium sector.
